About AMFM
Therefore, we must continue to strengthen first-time marriages, biological parents, and intact families. At the same time, the Church must equip itself to minister to the needs of single parents, stepfamilies, empty nesters and the growing number of individuals cohabiting outside of marriage. Ministries like divorce recovery, pre-marriage training, empty nesting, remarriage training, single parenting, and stepfamilies are becoming critical components of marriage and family ministry. The Association of Marriage and Family Ministries (AMFM) and its members are committed to you, the local Church, the pastor and all those called to this vital area of ministry. There has never been a greater time in history to show the love of Christ than today in serving those marriages and families that God has given us. Today, there is no greater growth tool for the church than to have strong marriages and healthy families walking out of the church on Sunday (when ever you worship) and walking into the culture on Monday. What a great opportunity to impact our culture for the Kingdom. AMFM is committed to encouraging, training and equipping the church to build marriage and family ministries that are relevant to the needs of the culture. culture the nuclear family is becoming the minority, but our ministries are not
responding to this great shift. As the body of Christ, we are called to meet
people at their point of need.
