Purpose

Present marriage enrichment workshops for groups of 5-40 participants

Description

The Active Relationship Center was founded by Kelly Simpson, a licensed marriage and family therapist. This is a local ministry located in Dallas, Texas. She is known for a series called Active Relationship Programs. Active Couples Communication is a weekend workshop and is 14 -16 hours of class time teaching powerful communication and conflict resolution skills/tools that promote teamwork, respect, joy and intimacy. Active Romance is a full weekend (Friday evening through Sunday afternoon) for the purpose of delineating myths and for understanding expectations in romance. Active Money Personalities is a 16-hour workshop that seeks to help participants learn about themselves and their ways of thinking as well as how those ways of thinking are relative in the world. Active Living to make love last is a one day seminar for building couple behaviors that are fun and build intimacy, both physical and emotional, for a smart, passionate, enjoyable and lasting relationship. The Active Relationships Mastery Series is a continuum of four weekend seminars meant to take participants from communication and conflict resolution skills through the cooperative skills required to manage financial issues. Ms. Simpson trains others to teach these classes in her Active Relationships Mastery Series Accelerated Training Institute hosted by Smart Marriages. This 2-day training equips laymen to teach eight programs including the entire Mastery Series - four programs: Active Communication, Active Money Personalities, Active Romance and Intimacy and Active Living daily behaviors to make love last. It will also prepare the attendees to teach a youth program- Active Relationships for Young Adults, as well as a program for entire families at once-Active Families.
